abelmosaics
maker of endangered wildlife mosaics
Welcome to the website of abelmosaics
Emma's endangered wildlife mosaics aim to provide a small platform for species threatened by deforestation, poaching, war and disease. She promotes awareness through competitions/exhibitions, donating a percentage of sales to wildlife charities.
In 2019, 2020 and 2021 Emma has been a finalist in the global Arts initiative run by conservation charity Explorers Against Extinction. In 2020 "Pygmy Raccoon" was Runner-Up for The Artist Award. In 2021 there were over 1000 entries from 47 countries.
Emma's wildlife mosaics aim to portray character and fragility of movement with every tuft of hair or ruffled feather cut with precision. Emma makes her own glass fused pieces to add personality. Workshops take place in Emma's Wiltshire studio and externally, sharing the love and skill of the mosaic art form.
All mosaics in the Gallery are for sale. All those marked SOLD can be re-commissioned.
